Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, part 1

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) is Jakarta's answer to Nayong Pilipino. Spread over 160 hectares, it features structures from the different regions of Indonesia, the country's largest manmade lake with the islands of the archipelago. A project of former First Lady Sukarno, it opened in 1975. There are 15 museums within the complex, three cable car stations and a train that operates on weekends.

We hired an English-speaking guide for IDR100,000. He took us around the park on foot for two hours. It's that large, considering we only entered one place--the Bali section--and just passed by in front of the others.
