Considering that V, J and I have spent a combined total of four and a half years in Europe, you'd think we won't forget that most museums are closed on Mondays. Wrong.
Fortunately, the National Museum was close to the National Monument. Or so it looked on the map. But no, by the time we got to MONAS, we were too tired and hungry from walking that we didn't feel like going up to see the view. If we only knew that the other entrance was closer.
MONAS is twice as tall as the monument at Quezon City Circle. The bronze flame on topped is gold-plated. The park is surrounded by Istana Merdeka, National Museum, and Masjid Istiqlal, the largest mosque in Southeast Asia.
