Bike trip

We were told that we were going to be on motorbikes, so when I saw the bikes and their riders, I got scared. Then again, I should be thankful, as bikes are slower. No helmets, no horns, no insurance. Here we go!

When we reached Taman Fatahillah, I saw something I had seen in Malaysia: a family of foreigners in short shorts and tank tops. I don't think I'm being extreme in saying this, but it really felt disrespectful to dress that way in a Muslim country since they were not at the beach. The heat was barely bearable, but still...

In front of the history museum is the partly submerged cell for prisoners. What an awful form of slow torture!
