Revisiting the galleries

Stepped into Tate Modern and the National Gallery again. There's always something new to see.

Tate Modern's Global Cities exhibit questions the rapid growth of urban centers. It makes me scared of the future.

The National Gallery has the Scratch the Surface exhibit, which, like Hackney Museum's Abolition 07, is about the bicentennial of the Parliament's anti-slavery act. I found the installation by Yinka Shonibare very interesting. It makes for a rich and stunning statement. Work, Rest & Play makes you realize how work and leisure are naturalized in our daily lives.
