Jonggak + Cheonggyecheon (Stream)

Jongno Tower

South of Insadong is Jongno, a major road. Turning left just before Jonggak station, we found an outdoor tiangge. The side streets made me think of Japan.

Further south is Cheonggyecheon, the stream with 22 bridges. Restored in 2005, the stream features green paths. Can you imagine such a pretty place in the city?

This section in the Dongdaemun area (below) was practically deserted two days later.
