Though I'm an 80s kid, I don't like upbeat 80s songs. But I caught Raymond Lauchengco performing songs from his album Full Circle at The Podium, and man, he made them cool. Think big band sound and great vocals. He has the best version of Together in Electric Dreams I've ever heard. My earworm for the afternoon was Just Got Lucky, a song I normally wouldn't listen to, but somehow got better than bearable. My only wish was that the band played live.
Why 80s guys (Lauchengco, Rick Astley, Aga Muhlach) never seem to age, we will never know. Forever bagets?
