Voter education, Filipino-style

A group called Sexbomb Dancers teamed up with the dancing inmates from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center to perform “Bilog na Hugis Itlog", a song meant to educate viewers about the automated election system, which will be implemented *fingers crossed* for the first time. Even if you can't understand Filipino, this has some entertainment value.

The message: instead of writing down their chosen candidates' names, the voters will now have to properly shade "egg-shaped ovals" (as in the song title) in the ballot. Here's the complete original music video of the Sexbomb Girls.

If you find this absurd, you probably haven't been to the Philippines, where catchy novelty songs can be heard everywhere. Singing and dancing is part of campaigning... and everyday life!
