Half an hour at the Yuchengco Museum

Breezed through exhibits of the Yuchengco Museum at RCBC Plaza. Draped in Silk: The Journey of the Manton de Manila focuses on the silk shawl popular in Spain during the colonial era. The contributions of guest artists from various disciplines give the exhibit depth and dimension. First Impressions: Early Views of the Philippines is a map lover's delight. There are a good number of Amorsolos in the permanent collection but I could not fully appreciate them because of the lighting. There is an exhibit of portraits of Rizal's women, painted by a priest.
