If I were to watch just one movie, and I had to choose between Jessica, Paul and Eddie (
The Illusionist), and Scarlett, Hugh and Woody (
Scoop), I might not be able to make up for my mind. Thankfully, there are trailers. For me, the period drama wins over the modern-day comedy. I don't think it's just the costumes--I'm more intrigued by how
The Illusionist will end.

Yap its good to see Edward Norton back to doing grim-faced and sullen characters ahahah! (read: Eddie in Spike Lee's 25th Hour)
ReplyDeleteBut not to be outdone, is Hugh in his upcoming movie The Prestige, also a movie about illusions and (real) magic(?).
Fast forward to their release date already please!
october 27th, limited release. saw the trailer, and i must say that it looks GREAT! hugh, scarlett, christian bale and michael caine, directed by christopher nolan. could anyone possibly ask for more? thanks for the lead, kamil.ΓΌ
ReplyDeletei started watching scoop over the weekend (note, STARTED). di ko pa natatapos, i find it so boring. apparently even hugh jackman isnt enought to make it interesting. add to that, i never liked scarlett johanson. yes yes, pirated dvd po. i think it didnt help na walang soundtrack! at least for the earlier parts. yech. if you've seen "match point" the feel is kinda like that. and i, did not like "match point". same director. surprise, surprise.
ReplyDeleteah. oh well. i like scarlett as an actress, but not outside of her movies.
ReplyDeleteso there you go. it's a toss-up between the illusionist and the prestige.
i liked the illusionist 10x better than the prestige. although hugh jackman is undeniably hot.
