If Rizal were alive today, he's enjoy a foreign film or two during MMFF season, too.

Coco Avant Chanel (
Coco Before Chanel, France)
Seamstress lies, loves, breaks heart

The Hard Word (Australia)
Released ex-prisoners pull off heists

L'Eretico (
The Heretic, Italy)
Astrologer does not survive Inquisition

Unfinished Sky (Australia)
widower farmer adopts illegal immigrant
A note on Unfinished Sky: don't let that conventional poster turn you off. This is one of the best films I've seen all year. Very well-made from excellent material.
