The Communist roommate

It's out of character for me, but I took in a roommate two weeks ago. It's like "paying forward" what Rasmus did for me when I arrived. This is an exceptional case as we are the only Asians in the course and we had met before (in Dijon), so I think I had a pretty good judgement of his character. Xiangnan (or Li) came prepared: he had a pillow, a sleeping bag and a rice cooker. Christian, as they call him in Grenoble (interesting choice for somebody without a religion and a member of the Party), was considerate and easy to get along with. Though I can't imagine this happening again (he has since found a dorm), it was good to have a cook and some company for a few days.

  1. Haha, nice one. It's always good to have someone cooking for you. I have a Mongolian flatmate, also with the erasmus mundus programme, who cooked dimsum for us. 'twas perfect :D
