An impromptu gallery visit led us to an artist-run space, where we saw an exhibit of pottery works (among others), by Joey de Castro, Pablo Capati III and Joe Geraldo. Curator and gallery partner Salvador Joel Alonday gave us an overview of their school and space, and told us about the backgrounds of the exhibiting artists. It's always good to listen to a practicing artist talk about fellow artists because he understands the process of making an artwork.
