Sunway Pyramid

We were actually refused by a cab. It was a shock not because this never happens (it often does), but that the destination was a mere 700 meters away and the driver had nothing to lose. Still, the driver said we could just walk to Sentral station. Of course we could, but it's 33 degrees out and that's 700 meters of expressway...

We took the the LRT to the suburbs of Kelana Jaya, the last station on the line. We took a London-style bus to Sunway Pyramid mall for the flat fare of RM1 (P13.50), which we thought was cheap for the distance. My brother had wanted to visit the the mall's ice rink. Since KL Lake Gardens were supposedly closed, we gave in.

in and out the mall

Sunway Lagoon, a water park

It's a great mall on all counts: food and shopping for every budget, good design, a nearby university, a big water park.

the ancient Egyptians kept their gold in a hole in the wall

Meet me in Friendster. So how about a Facebook cafe?

How about fake hieroglyphs, flyovers painted the same color as the mall and Kafe Friendster? Winner. There's also Pancake House International. We took a coupon cab back to the LRT station, a great value because it was rush hour.
