Of trailers, tiki huts and other accommodation options

Naga City has everything from a luxury boutique hotel to the most basic inns. We opted for something different.

container vans

Our drivers were laughing at us because us girls stayed in a container van for two nights. It wasn't bad at all. There's airconditioning and cable TV. I quite liked it. Trailers are good for two to four people.

tiki huts

a neat bed and nothing more

On the last night I was in a tiki hut alone. We had scared ourselves silly in the van, talking about the locked door that opened, the light that mysteriously turned on. I didn't experience anything unusual, but I made sure the windows were locked. The airconditioned tiki huts share a common toilet and bath facility. The bed has baskets underneath to keep your things. There's a ladder that leads to nowhere. That's where you're supposed to hang your stuff. And other than that, there's really nothing else inside. I still find it cute.

I love Mt. Isarog in the early morning when its peaks are not yet covered with clouds.

cabanas

We heard that the cabanas are haunted. A girl crying through the night? Creepy.

luxury villas

Note to those staying in the luxury villas: your pool may be beautiful but at night, it's surrounded by frogs.

wood cabins

The only thing I didn't shoot are the Mansion Suites. We "found it" when we got lost on the first night.
