6/2000+
I've been offline for much of the past two weeks: first to another country, then to another city. Whenever I return, there are thousands of posts in my aggregator. I need to share these first with you.
Fun with paper: People Too
For artists: Opportunities you should turn down
International number ones: what your country is the best at
Something related to the first visit of the month
Something related to the second visit of the month
I'm proud of my packing skills, which are similar to this
[update] plus one pa pala: spot the forgery

That song, right now
Spotify isn't available here, but for near-instant song streaming of the songs you want to hear, Grooveshark works quite well. If there are tunes that pop into your head and you just have to hear it now (and it's not in your playlist), this is the quick fix. (Thanks to Charles for the tip.)
Still buying time to prep the photos. Malapit na!

Reading material + International Museum Day 2010
I am here but not.
I have tons of stories that I am forbidden to tell you.
So let me say the things that I am allowed to share.
I've read a good number of magazines in the past two weeks (including at least two issues each of Juxtapoz, Art Auction, Modern Painters and Wallpaper). This struck me most.

As greater works become rarer, substitutes of lesser quality are being upgraded in status. At the same time, another, more insidious process, rarely acknowledged by professionals, keeps down the prices of some admirable masterpieces. Because buyers have fewer and fewer works on which to train their eyes, a dwindling number of connoisseurs can recognize great paintings.By the time you read this, I'll be somewhere in the highlands. You'll hear from me again next weekend. I have hundred of things to show you.

Pulitikaraoke
Paintings to ponder: recent works aka the Pulitikaraoke series. Song titles take on different meanings.
Noughts & CrossesI just realized that I need better photography of my work and better documentation of my exhibits. Will work on those.
From Ian Brown of the Oxford Internet Institute: E-voting is not the solution to poll chaos.

Will be away for two weeks. Lots to show you when I come back. In the meantime, please drop by my website. Thanks! And vote wisely!

My thoughts exactly
This is not going to make me popular, but that's not what this blog is for.
I respect Pat E., but everyone's entitled to an opinion. I'm with Mia on this one.
Basta ganito na lang. Iboto mo kung sino ang gusto mo. At siguraduhin mong ginawa mo ang lahat para makilala mo ang mga kandidato.
Ang masasabi ko lang: Dang, paperless na sila!

Pilot Pocket Guides
In high school, the Lonely Planet TV show was one of my favorites. It then became Globe Trekker. Now, thanks to Babelgum, I can see funny guide Ian Wright again. I used to envy Megan McCormick, thinking that if a girl with a slightly shaky voice could present the show, why couldn't I? But now that I've seen quite a few countries, I don't envy them as much.
This is my destination next week. The videos is dated, but I guess a few things are still the same.

Sample ballot
This arrived yesterday. I've figured out who I'm voting for in most positions. Sangguniang Bayan na lang. Will work on that tonight.
If you don't know what your ballot looks like yet, take a look at the PDFs on the COMELEC website. Note that the national and local sides of the ballot are separate.

The diesel car sounds like a jeep, drives likes a sportscar, emits like a Prius. Where is the Autobahn when you could use it?
