Stayed at Hotel Ibis on Bencoolen Street. The hotel has a boutique feel. Rooms are tiny but have compact creature comforts, including the smallest refrigerator I have ever seen.

What I like about the district is that it has plenty of art schools and the museums are close by, such as the National Museum, Singapore Art Museum and Mint Museum of Toys. It is close enough to the Suntec/Marina area. There are also a number of churches within a block of each other.

I'm not the biggest street art fan, but I love this one
